what do you live for?

remember what you live for, what you do all this for.

is it for a dream, a far-off fantasy?

or a goal just in reach, so close you can taste it.

either way, try to start your day by remembering.

remember what you strive for, remember where you want to be.

as the alarm sounds, and yet another day begins

you climb out of bed and go through the motions

it’s all blur.

stop.

remember. what do you do all of this for?

cravings

I crave rest from the world of stress.

I crave time spent in other manners beyond moneymaking.

I crave a break from the treadmill.

relaxation and restoration.

I crave time spent with pen to paper, not a single thought beyond the confines of my cerebrum.

I crave brush, pigment, and paper coming together as one, flowing from my hand to the page.

I crave a good book to read, to get lost between the pages as you forget yourself and become someone else.

I crave

relaxation and restoration.

return

wings catch flight

a gust of air, reaching a new height

flying farther than before

starting to feel a little bit more.

now, there is so much that I can see.

now, there is so much that I can be.

i’m returning to what it feels like

to be me.

i’m returning to what it feels like

to be free.
