My soul craves nature. I want ever so much to get out of this concrete jungle that constrains my breathing. High rise buildings intimidate. Honking cars fumigate.
Too much time spent in the city takes its toll on a human being. We are products of nature, meant to spent time in nature. It is health for us to go see the greenery, take a breath of fresh air, roll out on a picnic blanket on the crisp blades of grass under an aged and wise tree. It heals our soul.
Just as the photosynthesis of the grass, trees, and plants purifies the air and creates fresh oxygen, so does nature to our souls. The time in the forest, on a hike, at a lake, or at field takes away the dreary grey from our being. The green purifies the grey.
We take a deeper breath. We realize the world is bigger than our problems. We see the beauty that the mundane covers up. We are cleansed of the stress of civilization and live in the bliss of the beautiful.
Nature is our oxygen, a mere human survives off of it. We forget in the hazy fog of civilization, but be careful to not get choked by it. The wildlife will give you life.
That is why today, I go to the park.
